Q: Ford??????
How can i like get a model agent from the ford company??? Or sign a contract? Do i go to one of their car stores??
lol my baddd....umm okay the *ford* modeling agency:]]]]
A: the ford modeling agency has nothing to do with ford cars, those are two separate companies, they have nothing to do with each other. its just a coincidence that they are both named ford.

1996 ford exploree sputters then it kills on start up what could be the problem? I have already changed the fuel pump alittle while back could that still be the problem ?

Q: Is is recommended to buy used FORD Sedan when FORD is struggling with bailout?
I am a student in Florida. I am planning to buy a used Ford Focus. I am not sure whether to buy a Ford Sedan when Ford, GM are struggling for their survival. If Ford goes out of business will I still be able to maintain my vehicle by a local mechanic or some repair shop.
A: Most parts on new vehicles are not made by the vehicle manufacturer themselves, but by other companies that supply them. The manufacturer puts these parts together and makes a car. If a car company were to go out of business, these suppliers would still be able to provide replacement parts, and other companies would also provide aftermarket versions ot the parts.
Even if a car company was to go bankrupt, that bankruptcy would be a reorganization, not a liquidation. They would still be in business.
Dealers are independent business. If the company were to close (not likely) the dealer could still exist as a private shop. Other shop can also work on your vehicle, so you have nothing to fear there.
Do not let fear of the future of the auto industry keep you from buying the car that suits your needs.
Q: What is the difference between the ford escort lx and the ford escort zx2?
I am looking at a 2003 ford escort. but i am not sure which one it is? I found it on the internet and it does not say. Besides the look, is there any other difference in the two cars?
A: Yes, the Escort LX is the 4-door sedan. A 2003 model was not sold to the public, but it was sold to rental car companies.
The ZX2 is a 2-door model with a much sportier appearance, but the mechanicals (engine and transmission) are the same as the Escort LX.
As far as 'pieces of crap' these cars have Mazda engines and transmissions, which were developed and built in Japan (at least the trannys are). IMHO I don't believe Mazdas are crap. I have an Escort and it is a very reliable car with good gas mileage.
We sold a lot of Escorts where I come from...
Q: How come Ford does not require an immediate bailout in contrast to the other Big 2?
I understand that Ford will obviously be affected if the other two go under but is Ford more diversified than then the other two that it has other sources of income?
Perhaps they are better organized financially?
A: Honestly Ford may have been the only one to see the market and bank crash coming. Either that or it was a huge lucky break. Either way they benefit (or likely suffer less) while everybody including foreign companies suffer.
A few years ago they mortgaged everything they own to get some extra cash just in case.
Chrysler was still owned by Daimler who had no interest in creating a profitable company so even if they saw it coming they did nothing. They just used Chrysler profits from the 90's to rebuild Mercedes.
Honda, Toyota, VW, and Hyundai are all in the process of building new plants in the US yet stuck idling the plants they have because of low demand. They obviously didn't see it coming either.
Q: Whats the difference between 2004 Ford Mondeo and 2004 Ford Mondeo Ghia?
Whats the difference between Ford Mondeo and Ford Mondeo Ghia.In looks, body, engine, performancee...basically everything u know cuz im planning on getting one of the two.
A: ghia's have been around for years eversince the early mk1 granaders possably earlyer, remember the sweeny?..all it means is a better trim, nicer seats/door pannels,etc...it used to be the model for the top of the range of cars...used to ba anyway..
Q: How many miles do the ford expeditions last for?
I am looking at buying a 1999 Ford Expedition that has 111,000 miles on it. They are only asking for 3995.00 It has been dropped 3 times because the guys hasn't gotten any calls on it. We have a tiny car and need a bigger one because of our growing family. Are they reliable with that many miles? I know to take it to a shop to have it looked at. What other things can I look for?
A: I have several customers with 99 Expeditions with the 4.6 and 5.4 engines. One customer had 269k the last time he was in the shop for service. Those engines are very reliable, the trick is proper maintenance. If the previous owner took care of the oil changes every 5k miles and changed the transmission fluid every 30k miles....I would not be scared to buy it. I saw an answer that talked about the ball joints and such - they are right...at about 60k the ball joints are typically bad. You can expect to have to spend some money on the front suspension, just make sure you take it to a mechanic that you trust and tell them you only want to fix those things that are a safety issue. You can spend as much $$ as you want on ANY vehicle over 100k, ask the mechanic to show you (even if you have no idea what you're looking at) what it needs and why it's a safety issue.
Q: Can a 1997 v6 ford mustang automatic transmission fit in a 1995 mustang?
My son want to put a 1997 ford transmission in his ford mustang, his is a 1995. The mustangs are V6.
A: An auto salvage yard has cross-referencing books and can probably answer your question. Yellow pages under "Auto Parts--Used".
Best regards,
Mike
Q: How do you make a 1995 Ford Mustang manual V-6 faster in the cheapest way possible?
I have a 1995 manual 5-speed Ford Mustang and I was wondering how I could make it overall faster for cheap? By cheap I mean less than $400 a part.

Q: How will it effect Ford car owners in Britain if Ford goes bust?
My friend ownes a Ford Fiesta 2007 reg, will he be able to buy parts when needed.
A: You can still buy parts for the original Model T so I wouldn't worry too much.
Q: Detroit Lions fans, why does the Ford family continue to operate under the salary cap?
They operate under the cap yet still charge a fortune for anything bought inside Ford field. Until the fans stop selling out games to watch the Lions loose over and over every single year the Ford family will NEVER get us the team we deserve. Lions fans have been dedicated and have waited long enough to have our team be a contender. I am ready to give up on the Lions and the dispicable Ford family!
A: theyve got us by the nuts. Detroit is a diehard sports town and even though they keep throwing a crappy product on the field, we keep selling out Ford Field weekend after weekend. until that ends, Ford will continue to bleed us dry
Q: What is the best way to sell my Ford Explorer?
Due to economic reasons and gas being so high, I have decided to sell my V8 ford Explorer. But I am aware that prices on overesized vehicles are going down due to the raising costs of crude. What is the best way to sell my vehicle?
A: Hopefully you don't owe much on it. I seriously doubt you'd make enough to pay it off. I hope you're prepared for that if that's the case. Explorers are bringing $5-6K under what they usually bring in trade, so yes, the market has dropped considerably on them.
You can try craigslist, Autotrader, and the local paper (all inexpensive).
If you do owe quite a bit on it, and try to sell it for the amount you owe, you'll probably find that buyers won't even touch it. If this is the case, it's best to just keep it and ride it out. Edmunds.com put a nice "keep it or trade it" calculator on their site for just this purpose, to show folks how much they'd save in gas and how long it would take to make up that gas savings if you lost thousands in trade/resale.
*Edit* - don't try the "full coverage insurance, total the car in a wreck" idea. Insurance companies are on to that.
Q: How much would the Ford automobile company have to pay YOU to drive one of their vehicles?
It's getting pretty bad.
I saw a commercial for a buy one ford get one free deal at a local car dealership.
A: I have an Explorer with 175,000 miles on it and it still runs great. When it finally wears out I might consider another.
As for passenger cars, I owned a Mustang, never again. Ford could throw in the entire Detroit Lions' cheerleader squad and I still wouldn't buy another car from them.
